Hi Rosie75,

I have chronic back pain and have been taught self acupuncture by my local hospital. Wether it works or not is depending on the individual. It helps me to relax which in turn helps with the pain. The only thing I will say is keep an open mind and remember to relax, try not to look for being pain free, this isn't going to happen. I go to pain management and my consultant asked me what I wanted, 'to be pain free, can you give me a pill so I can look after my Autistic son?' The answer was no, he said if he could do that he would be a millionaire!! It's all about managing the pain you are in, either with medication, alternative therapies or just plain laughter.

Take care and I hope my answer has helped?

Kind Regards,

Jane.
