I'm pleased to hear that we are still thought of, have a good night and take care 😊 Bernadette and Jack 🐕 xxxxxx

Hi 2greys, so basically you're on your own, carry on as before and just hope everyone else wears masks around you, but we won't enforce it in case if upsets are friends and paymasters!

Ian.

Basically get in touch with your gp and they’ll tell you how to keep safe!

in reply to helenlw7

Like we don't know better!

It’s almost impossible to get a telephone consultation with my drs, I’m sure they won’t want me ringing for advice, and it’ll just be the same as shielding I’m sure!

Well said. I think that in general we do very well at looking after ourselves. This forum is a god send for me

Pretty sure they know no more than we do after the last 18 months.

Which will probably be what we already know and of no real help.

in reply to CDPO16

Indeed

It's every CEV for him/herself LP which is what we have been doing for a long time now and comes as no real surprise. At least booster vaccines are planned for later in the year which will hopefully give us added protection. To be honest I'm just as wary of catching a common cold or flu so will continue to be very cautious.

Me too Carole x

in reply to CDPO16

Indeed. I have always taken more precautions to avoid others' germs ao for me nothing changes. We don't need anybody to tell us how to protect ourselves. My surgery rang last week to book me in for my flu jab in sept. 😅

Wow. They are on the ball.

Basically I think it will the same advice as in July last year. Which is the same as the rules are presently for the healthy before the 19th. Which, for me, is much too lax and I will be continuing to shield fully, I also have a responsibility towards Sharon's job and all that implicates.

CDPO16 profile image
CDPO16 in reply to 2greys

Very true. I have never really stopped shielding, just ventured out more since recently being prescribed ambulatory oxygen but in parks where I can give everyone a wide berth. Love garden centres but not felt like visiting one so far and even less so once masks are no longer required. I wish that they had at least kept that a legal requirement.

The government seem to think we all stupid , so it doesn't really matter about us . I just heard a woman on the telly say , it's to much hassle to wear a mask . Says it all really .;;;;

Exactly!Would have offered some protection keeping mandatory masks in place until all vaccinated. Beggars belief!

No surprise really. I am away at the present time and the plan for the clinically vulnerable is like the internet connection here. Non existent !

If there is anything significant we should all be getting a text message or a letter.

Where are we supposed to get covid passports from? Print one off online?

2greys profile image
2greys in reply to hypercat54

Phone 119 and ask for a paper one to be sent in the post. Or use the NHS app, you need photo ID for that though.

Jaybird19 profile image
Jaybird19 in reply to 2greys

The nhs site didn't ask for photo . Do w e have to attach our own or have I missed something somewhere

2greys profile image
2greys in reply to Jaybird19

It is for the actual NHS App, the one used to access your GPs records, make appointments, order repeat prescriptions. Not the Test and Trace App.

Jaybird19 profile image
Jaybird19 in reply to 2greys

I don't know which it was now . Will have too wait and see what answer I get, if any. Don't have phone yet as mine was pay as you go and I forgot to use it within the limit so lost the account and over £20.

2greys in reply to Jaybird19

If you need one then it may be easier for you to phone for a paper one to be sent by post. Phone 119.

Thanks . Never know when you might need to have one with this government.

I use the word b government lightly.

It was that sentence that jumped out at me too. I will just carry on doing my best to keep safe in my own way,its worked so far!

Don't mix with un vaccinated people......I'll just dust off the crystal ball then ! NOT helpful

Lfcpremier profile image
Lfcpremier

Ha, ha. Yep.. Lock ourselves away at home. No mixing with anyone who has not been vaccinated. Would be funny if it wasn't so despicable.Thrown under a bus, comes to mind.

Nevasayneva profile image
Nevasayneva in reply to Lfcpremier

There's no way to k ow who is vaccinated and who is not. I know a few people who are not vaccinated but when asked say they are to avoid arguments.

Jaybird19 profile image

Vaccinated twice ! Even then?

We are the ones cast aside. Sadly we are the sacrifice for everyone else. I used to be a glass half full person, the government have not only knocked that out of me..but im shocked and saddened at how we have been kicked to one side without a thought or care . I wonder how Mr Johnson would deal with this if he could not have the vaccines so had no protection or was highly shielded..or his vaccines had not worked..me thinks he would see the price of his life and the world out there much differently. Stay safe everyone, and shame on the government. Alot more, so much more could have been done in advance to protect us.

Remember the "bodies" comment. Pile them high.

2greys profile image
2greys in reply to Jaybird19

Precisely, we are dispensable and just a burden to the NHS. I hope that when he is old and vulnerable (not that far off) that comment comes around and bites him on the bum, 'careful what you wish for'.

The Drs Are Still Looking To Speak To Some One Who Knows About The Injections And What I Can Have If Any ., So Scary For Me And Us All On Here But With No Jab I Feel Vulnerable @2greys Take Care Keep Safe 🖤🖤

Lfcpremier profile image
Lfcpremier in reply to CaptainPugwash

So sorry to hear that you can't take the jabs. So many people unprotected.. Really think they will have to do a uturn on this reckless, dangerous 'freedom day' especially with the fallout from the Euros... Sooner, rather than later I hope. 💕
