Good morning Chezza. It's lovely to hear from you, and a warm welcome. I'm fairly new to the group myself but have already found it invaluable. Lovely people and great advice.

Take care and I look forward to hearing more from you soon.

Chezza23 My consultant told me that COPD rarely get asthma. It's just that you may be short of breathin effort, but that is caused by the damaged lungs. By the way, a great, big welcome to our forum.

Many here have had COPD and have been helped 1. by getting enrolled with a pulmonary nurse and rehabilitation - you can ask your GP or consultant to refer you to. a pulmonary nurse is a brilliant lady (usually a lady) who follows you closely, knows a lot and shares a lot with the patient, especially when the consultant is not so available (This seems to be the modern NHS policy).

2. Exercises in any sort of form: Tai chi, Qi Gung (Chinese medical martial art), gym, running (at the gym or outside if not frightened by cold weather), Check on YouTube for Lung exercises. here is one series (follow the blue lady!)

Hope it helps and hope you keep well,

Mic
