Hi everyone

Hope your all doing well.

Alot of people missing on the site lately.

I've been having alot of fun doing a board on pinterest, of favorite movies. I've actually been watching many of my old favorites again. Any of you watch Alfred Hitchcocks movies? Anyway, was wondering what your favorites are.

Have a great weekend......

Older ones mostly although I do like some new ones like Best Marigold Hotel. Not keen on flashy special effects.

I love the final Busby Berkley number in Gold Diggers of 1933. And Airplane!, Yellow Submarine, Hitchcock films, and Hammer House of Horror.

Hi Ruby, I like North by Northwest with Cary Grant and The Birds. I think I must have seen most of them at some time and do enjoy a good Alfred Hitchcock film.

I do like the photo you have posted too. Very true.

Wishing you well and have a good weekend.

I love Rebecca - Hitchcock film. I have seen it many times. I feel that it would have lost its suspense had it been in black and white. In fact black and white films can be very atmospheric. If they were set in WW2 times, you could reckon that someone would be killed in action. Then the musicals - great. Period dramas too.

This message has been written with difficulty - Malcolm would sit on the keyboard. He is hungry so GO and feed him.

I've never seen Rebecca. Must be good. Whats it about? Maybe I'll have a look today.

Rebecca ? Max de Winter was widowed. He married Rebecca and lived at Manderley, a wonderful gothic manor set in beautiful grounds on the Cornish(?) coast. Then Rebecca dies under mysterious circs. The villainness of the story was Mrs. Manvers(?). Mrs. Manvers worshipped Rebecca. After the death of Rebecca, Maxim de Winter met the second Mrs. de Winter in FRance, married and took her back to Manderley. ......

I wonder if Amazon would have the dvd. XX

I am not sure about netflix. Perhaps it is me, but I had a job finding a watchable film on netflix. It is good to have a browse around the charity shops or the library.

Hi Ruby

I never seem to have the time for movies but I do enjoy a fun post.

Keep them coming and see if we can get some members out of the cupboard. LOL

We all have lives and interests outside our illnesses.

Hope you are well

Hi there, I don't watch films or tv these days, I don't even own a tv right now. Used to love watching musicals when I was younger though. Judy Garland, Frank Sinatra, Dean Martin, Tommy Steele, Anthony Newly.... oh you've set my mind a racing.

These past few years Ive been reading, could get through a book in a day or two no problem. But not the past month.

Since being told about the copd, the dvd Im ploughing through daily is exercise.

I do have many interests though, I knit, sew, crochet, I even built dolls houses for a few years. Then I became a bit of a techie, always fixing pc's cleaning friends viruses etc, not so much since I moved into a one bed flat, and the fact most folks are using iPads and mobiles now.

At the moment Im on a health kick.

Perhaps I am old fashioned but I do like my laptop. I have inherited my husband's i pad and also a kindle fire. I have thought about a phone. Seems to me that the screen is a bit small.

Love the old Clint Eastwood westerns to especially Pale Rider. Wonderful. x
