Ischaemia is when there is a lack of blood flow to parts of ths body.

This means the amount of oxygen supplied to the body's organs is reduced or restricted.

i am really sorry to hear that your husband is responding in this way as it is not helpful

this is important as it is affecting you - you need to look after yourself before you can look after your husband and it is important that both of you understand this

your asthma makes extra demands on your body and particularly your heart - your husband's current need for extra care is clearly making even more demands of you, but you need to be firm about needing your own recovery time if you are to be able to continue to keep going - not easy but i think you need to come to some agreement with him about this

if you are getting chest pains you need to take notice and rest when this happens - it the pain is a sign that your heart muscle is not getting enough oxygen - when you get this pain you need to stop what you are doing and let your heart catch up, please avoid pushing through and carrying on - also it is more important to take your asthma medication regularly at the moment and do not be temtped to take a ventolin/salbutemol inhaler more often than the prescribed dosage

i realise your husband needs your help more at the moment but please remember the advice given in cases of emergency to parents: get your own lifebelt/oxygen mask on first, then help your children with theirs - they need you to survive - you need each other so you need to take care of each other🌺

I am sorry you have angina too.If you are experiencing chest pain it's important not to ignore it.

I agree with Fishonabike you have to take of yourself before you can care for others.

Please do go and see your GP so you can be offered some medication such as a GTN spray to ease your symptoms.

If you can try and pace your activities and rest.

If necessary call 111 for further advice.

I hope your husband makes a speedy recovery and you are able to care for yourself too.
