I was prescribed Doxazosin in addition to Losartan when my BP increased some years ago. Unfortunately it had a negative effect and raised my BP further. I don't recall any other effect, but I wasn't particularly monitoring heart rate at the time. It sounds like this is something to refer back to your GP.
I'm taking Doxazosin plus Ramipril for high blood pressure, but have not noticed any problems with heart rate. As I have Afb I would have expected to if it was going to cause problems.
I was put on Doxazosin which along with my 32mg candesartan (high blood pressure med) lowered my BP too the point where I was feeling faint. Reduced candesartan to 16mg and Dox to slow release so its effects were more gradual and all ok now 🤞
