Today i planted a copper-beech tree, i won't be around to see it as a mature tree but it's kind of comforting that every tree i plant will still be around when I've gone..πŸ™πŸ˜˜

We have a copper beech in our garden, it is at least 100 foot tall and has preservation order on it. Our neighbours moan constantly about it but it was here before the houses were built . My only problem is when the nuts fall, there are thousands to rake up.

Nuts are a problem...but the colour in autumn makes it worthwhile..😊

5. Be content with your natural beauty.

6. Enjoy the view.

Just wanted to tell you about my Aunt, she planted a yellow rose bush in her daughter's garden. It hadn't matured until very recently, after she left us, and hadn't produced buds until two days ago my cousin woke, looked out at the garden covered in a heavy frost and to her amazement there was a large bright yellow, frost covered bud. I can't tell you how much this has meant to her, I rushed to see it too and others in the family and we have all been uplifted by it, and closer to Joyce my much loved Aunt. That beautiful bud has survived hail, gale force winds, rain, snow and heavy frost and will hopefully continue to do so for many years to come! A beautiful thing to do!

Thank you for that..plants can be a very emotional link to the past..I look after 130 Rose's for a customer, they were her husbands pride and joy..πŸ™πŸ˜Š

I am old and grey and getting a bit knackered. and bonkers. As a gesture of good will to the future I drop sequoia seeds into to bits of spare ground. Hopefully they will still be there in a 1000 years..

That's a wonderful thing to do.many years ago I would go out at night with a bag of spring flower bulbs and plant them along the side of a road, hoping to bring a bit of colour to the world..πŸ˜ŠπŸ™
