I have been diagnosed with angina but not heart failure and you just described exactly what I have felt more recently.

I called it buzzing /fizzy feeling.

I am waiting for the chance to speak to my gp.

Hi

Now you mention it I do get a fizzing all over sometimes, I have/had heart failure and the fizzing exactly sums it up, seems to have gone now due to medication and pacemaker but I did have it

Hello Bigbrian,

I think it must be your pacemaker that cured your symptoms. I am taking medication but l am not considered a suitable candidate for a pacemaker. I am not alone with these symptoms then.

Hello ellj, l have found that doctors just dole out the standard, 1 size fits all anticoagulant, beta blocker and diuretic. They listen to what you tell them are symptoms /side effects but it just seems that we have to put up with them. I hope you have better luck.

I have been enjoiyng pins and needles in my legs and some times left arm.

Some research has siggested this could be the reuslt of blood pressure being too low, so am currently exploring this with my Cardio NP via amendments to medication dosage.

Fizzy, buzzing, pin and needles - all seems like different terms for the same ting to me, unless I have misunderstood - and given my true understadning of heart conditions, the various terminology etc, that is possible.

Thank you for your message. I have had this for about a year now. It gets worse the more exhausted l get and then stops me getting to sleep. Catch 22. I am on the least possible drugs l can take to keep me alive. I am glad your symptoms have eased off.

Thank you.

We have reduced the dosage of my Candesartan and this seems ot ahve had a beneficial effect in terms of the 'pins and needles' - sadly it has left me noticeably less active and more tired, an odd trade off. Wonder how my NP will view this trade off...

Hello Brand,

You mention low blood pressure as a possible cause of unpleasant tingling. My partner has low blood pressure but is healthy .He doesn't have any symptoms. I didn't have any until l got heart failure due to uncontrolled A.F. I have worse symptoms like bad vertigo, breathlessness and water retention despite taking a high dose of a diuretic. Hope you have better luck.

Symptoms are as much a random chance as predicting a horse race.

The only thing that seems to change the odds seems to be when recieving medication for certain ailments - such as heart failure. I have never suffered vertigo - which i would consider a much worse symptom.

Thank you for your best wishes and i wish you too all the best in getting a solution for your heart condition. I think that is the only true answer to our predicaments.

Hello, Thank you for your reply. I asked for a test for vitamin B12 which was reluctantly done as l was told it isn't routinely done. I asked because l feel exhausted and weak all the time. Apparently it is O.K. I have had the usual test for diabetes and l haven't got it.
