Another diagnosis to contend with

Feeling really frustrated today

I went to hospital yesterday as my eye has been bloodshot for over a week and now accompanied by pain, got checked out and everything looked ok but was referred to the eye clinic today. They have diagnosed me with scleritis which is an eye disease.....probably triggered by one of the HF meds I am on (I am prone to gout).

The problem is the treatment for they eye is an anti inflammatory drug that I cannot take because of the HF meds I'm on.

Feeling really fed up as 3 weeks ago I felt pretty healthy, now seems like I've fallen apart a bit.

I'm trying really hard to be positive and comes to terms with the HF & AF diagnosis but sometimes you just need a break....

Rant over 🤨

Hi Bigredhear. Yep you need a break. Maybe you just need a rest. I find the worry exhausting. Keeping busy isn’t always a good idea. Take care. I hope you feel better soon.

Thanks Maisie,

You're right, the worry is exhausting, I feel like I am trying to stay on top of everything but its impossible sometimes.

I am normally really positive in my outlook but just feeling a bit worn out today.

Thanks again for the nice reply

Af is not easy to cope with & like you i would benefit from taking pain medication for arthritis etc but cant because of blood thinner.

Af can take up a lot of physical & mental energy & from experience I know when another condition flares up it can certainly make you feel down especially when we have had a run of feeling really well & positive
