I have never seen a dermatologist, GP offered creams most to no avail. However since being diagnosed with an underactive thyroid and being on meds. my psoriasis is a bit better.

Currently under treatment

When I had a flare last year, I was seen pretty much as often as necessary which was up to twice a month. Once psoriasis was under good control I had the option of being discharged or opting for an appointment in 6 months. I've gone for the 6 months option. Although access was great previously, I only got to see a derm quickly initially due to an appointment under the 2 week rule for possible skin cancer. I wouldn't want to wait for months if things deteriorate again.
