I really wouldn’t worry. I was told that food from 6 months is for fun. They’ll get what they need from your milk still, and you can add a good quality liquid multivitamin.

Just keep offering a wide variety of finger food and purées- they’ll find the things they like, and their tastes change so keep returning to things. But really don’t stress, this period will pass by quickly. Good luck!

My daughter was like that too at first. It took her a while to get used to the sensation of solid food in her mouth, she didn't like it. Don't get stressed, keep offering but don't try and force it. It's very early days so he'll need a bit of time to get used to it xxx

Hi love, don't worry at all. My son was exactly the same and he didn't really eat anything at all until he was about 10months and even then it wasn't a lot! It worried me so much and stressed me out but remember just keep offering all different fruits and veggies at each meal time and if he doesn't want it, it doesn't matter! The only thing my little boy would eat at 10 months was pears, strawberries, yoghurts, (egg and smashed avocado sometimes) Milk is the main source of food until they're 1! My little boy is now 2 and eats fine. He's still a bit fussy with the evening meal but we're getting there and these things take time. Xxx

Hi- I think it’s just normal, continue to offer him food but at around 7-8 months and he still refuses to try solid food, you can try to talk to your baby’s pediatrician.

Hope it goes well. Please keep us posted.

Hi Shaze

He doesn’t sounds ready yet and that’s completely normal, many babies need a little longer to be interested in food. I would also suggest to try giving him finger foods first that he can play with and explore in taste and smell and texture. That might be more interesting and ease him into the different flavours of solids as he is switching from breastmilk.

NCT do a really good workshop on weaning, it’s only a couple of hours but it put my mind at ease and I learnt a lot from it.

Food is still play for them until 9-12 months. So nothing to stress about. 🤗
