Facial hair is very fashionable at the moment. I noticed the film stars at the Oscars were saving money on rasor blades!

It's taking the shower that leaves me breathless !

It frees up the mucus and blocks my nasal passages, have to pause halfway through to clear them !

I dry shave now, which just makes my arm ache because it takes so long.

Just bought a shower stool with a revolving seat, its marvelous makes showering much easier.

Ordered a stool on my release from hospital Polly, being too weak to stand for long, but it was too big to get in the shower, it now resides sink-side.

Ordered another one which fits in the shower, just, but a bit cramped for room, in my little flat !

The swivel chair sounds great, sounds like you’ve ‘cracked it’, but don’t get giddy !

Kind regards, Brian.

I'm a woman and we have to shave, and I get very breathless. But unfortunately hairy legs and pits is not fashionable on a British woman lol ;-)

I still wet shave. It takes a while but it's part of my bathroom routine. It does leave me breathless and I stop and rest a while before moving on to the shower stage. I think it's through having my arms up and the need to complete the job in a reasonable amount of time that does it.

The damp air makes me worse, I don't always have a lot of mucus to clear so it's not particularly a help in that area. Our shower is over the bath so we can't have a stool in there, it would break the bath. I tend to sit on the side a while, so I can reach down and around. It's after I've been in there that I'm at my worst, it takes ages to get dried and dressed again. I need to keep stopping to try and get some breath back into me.

I have cut back on shaving through, unless I need to go somewhere I only wet shave every other day as it just takes too long. I have an electric shaver if I need to tidy up in between, but dislike using it.

Pete gets puffed wet shaving and also chokes when he lifts his chin to shave under it. Never mind, at least he gets the mucus off his chest. Yuck! xx

...must save a fortune on shaving foam :O

I am a creature of habit on oxygen all night when I wake up I take my nebuliser, then head to the bathroom. After my shower I must sit down to get more oxygen in my lungs before shaving. I wet shave and the same thing applies after shaving another seat before heading back to the bedroom. Put my oxygen back on sit down on the bed for about 10 minutes, the slowly get dressed and after getting dressed sit down again and wait till my breathing is OK. Then down stairs and take my medication and back on oxygen. My pattern never changes always the same thing each day.
