Need Help!

I have no breathlessness, I feel totally well in myself. Yet every 24 -30 hours i start to cough and then lots of sticky gunk starts to come up... the episodes can last from 5 - 60 minutes some are quite scary as I feel I am going to choke. Once all the gunk is out... I am fine again

Yes, they think it might be post nasal drip.... Im due sinus surgery however it was cancelled due to the virus.

Sorry I can't help but here are a few questions which may give some ideas.

Is it from deep in your lungs or more upper chest? In the morning or any time in the day? After physical movement - not necessarily hard exercise? Have you ever had this before? You mention sinus - are your nose/ sinuses blocked? Do you sleep on your back or your side? No breathlessness but is it after you try to take a deep breath? Does any of the gunk come from your stomach or all from your lungs?
