Today,on the Friday after or on midsummer’s solstice is one of the biggest celebrations in Sweden where I come from. The days are long and nature is looking at it’s best- it’s such a happy holiday!

Hej, thanks for posting. I lived in Stockholm when I was younger and made sure I went north to the land of the midnight sun to celebrate on 21st of June. It was great, everyone of all ages up all night, happy and enjoying themselves. Good memories

I grew up in Stockholm and lived there for 30 years before moving here (the UK)

Many lovely midsummer memories, and bright evenings are fantastic.

My brother lives in Norway, near Tromsø, where the sun doesn’t set for months. I’ve visited many times though never right in the summer. He also spends time in Sweden so I’ve visited there a few times too. Happy midsummer to you (though it feels more like midwinter here!)

Norway is such a beautiful place, must be spectacular at midsummer time! Glad you have good experiences from visiting both Norway & Sweden, hope you will have the chance to go again soon x
