I bought one for my partner and it takes a while to get the benefit from it. He is COPD Stage 4 and this was working for him very well. Unfortunately he is in hospital now after having numerous UTI's, chest infections etc., which in turn has bought on with a vengence Dementia. They have done various tests but cannot confirm that it is vascular dementia yet. Even if it is and he may have to go into a nursing home (a shock to me as he was OK in January but with a little memory loss but only a little e.g what day of the week it is) now he does not always recognise me which is heartbreaking but I know he is in the best place until he is medically fit. I will of course use the Soemac for him when he is moved but at the moment I use it at home and it does help with relaxing enough to sleep.

It does take longer for a COPD user so bear with it and good luck.

Dear Dusty017,

Your husband is very lucky to have such a lovely caring person as you. I wish you both well and I hope you have support as you have a lot to bear.

Good luck. xx

Hi Dusty. Sorry to hear that your partner health has deteriorated. I can remember how I felt as my mothers dementure took her away from me. Heart rendering to grieve for the person that gradually disappears.

Keep well yourself

Thank you for your kind thoughts. Today was really testing as he had pulled out the canular last night so they could not finish giving him his antibiotics. They waited for me as they knew he would let them do it if I was there! Makes it really hard to see my lovely Steve changing daily and losing the ability to speak really well and make himself understood. Nurses are excellent and so patient. Will have to buy them a nice box of choc's. Not because I need to but because I want to.

Anyway I hope you try the Soemac as I think it works even if a bit expensive.
