Manage mucus
Hi
Yes I do clear my chest with breathing technique but it's the the amount on my chest. I was wondering if through things in diet I could lower the mucus.thank you for replying.
Hi
Some reading material.
Dont drink any milk unless its A2 milk. Also drink a glass of water before your huffing it helps to thin out the mucus and make it easier to get up.
This works for me:- The first thing i consume in the mornings after a glass of water is 1/2 squeezed unwaxed lemon juice, & washed grated lemon rind, 1/2 to 1 inch of peeled ginger squeezed with a garlic press, 1/2 to 1 tblsp of cloudy Apple Cider Vinegar. To this I add 1 tblsp of local honey(this is important that it comes from your area)& 1pt to 1 litre of cooled boiled water(best warm). Wait at least 1/2 HR before eating. Avoid all white flour, dairy & sugar products. Rye bread is a very good & satisfying substitute which is sold in our favourite German supermarkets & many Polish stores. Canadian maple syrup or more honey are good sugar substitutes for sweetness as well as good dates or dried fruits as a snack & of course fresh fruit. Nut milks are a marvelous milk substitute for porridge or cereal. Eat dark green veg or watercress, celery, rocket or cucumber. (watercress soup is tasty & simple) etc daily & drink plenty of filtered water & herbal teas that you like, cinnamon is very good. Add some interest by researching herbal teas for your lungs. Best wishes to you😊
Vitamin D tincture daily is a good idea if you have had steroids & don't get good sunshine daily, it helps your immune system.
Ask your GP about Carbositeine - designed to loosen mucus. Doesn't work for everyone but worth a try
Hi Bella 124,
I have found that the breathing exercises are the clue to this. The box method where you breath in hold breath out hold : lying on the floor breath in to the stomach then the chest pause then breath out : the deep breath times 3 then huff times 3. Use of the aquapella and other vibratory tools also help.

Hello Dannatt I will try that not heard of that before thank you
My Asthma Nurse prescribed Incruse Elliptus, to help help clear mucus, one inhalation per day. I used it for a couple of months. Then gave up
Has anyone else tried this medication ?
