Good afternoon,
Have you been invited to take part in The 100,000 Genomes Project? If so, please read the email below, recently sent to the Helpline.
Regards,
Biddy
Hello,
I am a research assistant from Oxford University looking for people who have been invited to take part in the 100,000 Genomes Project.
The 100,000 Genomes project funded by the Department of Health will sequence 100,000 genomes from around 70,000 people. Participants are NHS patients with a rare disease, plus their families, and patients with cancer.
We are looking to interview people who have been invited to take part in the Genome 100,000 Project (including if you have declined to take part in the project and decided it wasn’t for you). We would like to interview you about your experiences, feelings and thoughts about genomic research. We would then (with your permission) like to put extracts from your interview on our website Healthtalk.org (in video, audio or written only format). If you are interested and would like further information or have any questions at all, please contact our research lead, Sara Ryan at sara.ryan@phc.ox.ac.uk
Many thanks and best wishes,
Thuy
