You can't get a mobility vehicle if you are in discretionary sector even though DLA tells you to get it .They deliberately delay blaming you .I have scooters x3 electric 2x are secondhand as is the WAV which takes petrol & has a lowered floor which can cause the fuel tank to be ripped and the disability insurance to leave you stranded on the motorway .Did the RAC legal dept want to know???!!! Most WAVS are diesal especially automatics . Motability is organised by the Banks & not a reasonable deal!

We were encouraged to get a diesel as cost of fuel / mpg better

I bought my own vehicle (petrol) and various scooters, battery driven.

I never have and will not ever use diesel as I've always known it to be poisonous.

What about gas?

except that it's not because it's a MOBILITY scooter [which I bought myself 2nd. hand] not a MOTABILITY scooter or other vehicle.....the question in the email I got ws about MOBILITY vehicles and I had done the poll before i moticed the mistake. best wishes to all. s

It is usually obtained by using the money provided through qualifying for the mobility component of either DLA or PIP. If you need any benefits advice then please call the BLF Helpline on 0300 0030 555 during office hours Monday to Friday.

Hello BLF YES AS A PATIENTS VOICE YES WE SPOKE OF FUEL A LOT YES I WOULD BE THE FIRST IN THE QUEUE TO GET DIESEL OFF OUR ROADS. HOWEVER BECAUSE OF MY VOLUNTARY WORK IN HELPING AND SUPPORTING SO MANY ALL OVER THE UK I DO SO MUCH DRIVING AT AT 64 MILES TO THE GALLON IN MY DIESEL MOKKA AND AS A VOLUNTEER SPEAKER YES ST PEOPLE'S HOMES AS WELL I GROUPS THE EXPENSE COMES FROM MY OWN POCKET AND AS MODERN DIESEL IS TIGHTLY GOVERNED BY OMISSION READING. I BELIEVE FOR NOW I AM DOING MY BEST FOR THE ENVIRONMENT. PLUS WHEN I BUY MY NEXT VEHICLE I CAN ASSURE YOU THAT PETROL WILL BE AT THE FOREFRONT OF MY MIND. HOWEVER AT THE FOREFRONT OF MY MIND AT THE MOMENT IS PUBLIC TRANSPORT I SHUDDER TO THINK JUST HOW STRONGLY HOW STRONG DO THEIR OMISSIONS ARE CHECKED LEGALLY. I HAD TWO FRIENDS FROM MY BREATHE EASY GROUP ACTUALLY COLLAPSED AFTER WE TOOK OUR MEMBERS TO STRATFORD UPON AVON AND BOTH COLLAPSED THROUGH THE FUMES THESE TWO BUSSES WERE RAVING AWAY AS JET BLACK SMOKE WAS LEAVING THEIR EXHAUST CAUSING BOTH FRIENDS COLLAPSED TO THERE KNEES. WOULD JUST LIKE TO THANK YOU FOR EVERYTHING THAT YOU DO FOR PEOPLE YES JUST LIKE MY SELF WITH LUNG DISEASE ON TOP OF THE 4 I HAVE IT WAS MADE MUCH HARDER WHEN AN EXTREMELY RARE BUG WAS FOUND in my Kidneys only 2 Antibiotics in the world could combat it and soon as I was placed on them My health improved dramatically my Consultant mentioned that he had only ever heard of 2 cases and yes wow I was the second. Bless you all and again thank you. Geof x Willers
