Hi Grambabu! Sorry to submit our reply so late. If you have family history of Diabetes type 2 we recommend to do a blood glucose test every 6 months to check if your levels are ok! The best hour to do this test is before any meal so you can have results that haven´t been altered by food metabolization in your body. Normal levels in feasting situations are 70 to 99 mg/dl, levels that are just a warning that something may not be so great are 100 to 125 mg/dl and alarming levels go from 126 or more. After 2 hours of having a meal, normal levels go from 70 to 139 mg/dl, moderate levels go from 140 to 199 mg/dl and risky levels go from 200 mg/dl or more. This test can be taken on your health center. If you have any more doubts, you can consult a Endocrinologist, who is a Doctor that specializes in glands, pancreas included.
