was told 11 months ago I had AF I believe I had AF before the doc found it Shortly after I was given a Apple Watch and was brought a BP monitor with ECG.Both tell me I’m AF every day Does this mean I’m persistent I’m taking BB and anti clotting meds but not been asked to attend a AF clinic My doc at hospital said I would be although this was a doc from emergency day care My head is not in a good place now and walking around in an unsteady state now Is this to do with the AF

Hi Shoefairy - sounds as though you are being monitored. Looking through your profile I note you have multiple cardiac issues which may well be contributing to your AF which does sound as though it could be persistent.

If your heart is not functioning well or may indeed cause you to feel unsteady. Are you also tracking your O2Sats? Your Apple Watch does have the facility to track your O2 sats and is OK for averages but a finger monitor is often more accurate.

Assuming you are in UK:- If you are concerned you should get in touch with your GP and ask what is happening to your referral and ask them to chase it. A&E should have written to your GP with recommendations but it your GP’s job to chase these are actioned.

If your location is anywhere other than UK - I couldn’t comment.

Shoefairy Good advice by CDreamer. Also, monitor your heart rate and blood pressure and try to be positive. And as stated above, be persistent (no pun intended) in following up on referral.

You should call the hospital and check you are on the list to be called to the clinic. Have you seen your GP and asked to be referred to a cardiologist or preferably an electrophysiologist (EP) - if not then do so and also ask your GP to chase up the clinic appointment too.

Why not dial the 111 NHS no. and seek their advice. I don't like the sound of that dizziness. with a bit of luck they'll send paramedics out to check you over.
