Ablation

I had an Ablation 2 weeks and am now in NSR but I still feel lousy (fatigue, nausea).

Is this normal?

How long does it take before one starts to feel better?

I have just completed 3 weeks post ablation. I still get tired early evening but feel pretty good throughout the day doing normal tasks.

How were you feeling before the ablation?

The same as I do now, fatigued for most of the day.

I hear you. Everyone is different so it may take some time and more rest before you get your energy back.

Try concentrating on being good to yourself, eating small healthy meals, and doing what you enjoy if you can. A little pampering while your mind and body are healing is okay.

Wish you well. Keep us posted. 😊

Hi, it took me several months to get over the ablation but I did end up in hospital with all sorts of episodes. I also place high demands on my body, like someone else said everyone responds differently. I think it can be natural to be maybe to aware of what is going on after the experience and you also end up gauging yourself to much, build your fitness up slowly and try to take your mind off it.

I was months before I got back to a bit of fitness and vitality. Took me four months to be able to walk four brisk miles. I'm in awe of people who are better so much quicker!

don’t worry, it’s really early days. Listen to your body is the best advice…no point in pushing it as your body will say « whoah »….everyone diferent….

Took me ages, three months, …ok I felt ok in myself but walking my usual circuits some days I’d get to morzine get out of car and think I am tired out….i remember messaging this forum saying is this normal? Replies were it could take six months. The hearts taken a bashing and it’s healing but u can’t see it….
