Paroxysmal AF with new Widening QRS and RBBB.

Hello All:

This is my first post. I have become used to my paroxysmal AFIB (don't like it but am used to it), however, I have become increasingly concerned about my very recent increase in my QRS. My EKGs have always be normal except for the AFIB and PVC's etc. But in the last three months (I'm 58 BTW) I have had a widening QRS. In March went from the 90s to 118 ms. My doctor didn't tell me (very disappointed) and I found out with my new Kardia device. This week I went to the ER with moderate chest pain (no heart attack!) but I was in bradycardia (45-49 BPM (my resting heart rate is normally high 50's)) for about 6 hours. I received my EKG from the visit today, and it showed my QRS is now 134 ms.

Any thoughts would be greatly appreciated. Thank you, everyone, for all of your help!

Can be caused by meds. Increases chances of Ventricular Arrhythmia. If you are taking Tikosyn (dofetilide) it is a possibly emergent problem. Consult your EP immediately in any case..etheral

Thank you, Etheral. I am not on meds except "pill in the pocket" flecainide I only had to take once over a year ago. I truly appreciate your reply. Thank you.

Suggest private appointment with a respected cardiologist.

Hi Phil100, I’m confused like you. I’ve got PAF after cardio version in November last year but over time I became aware my heart was doing other things as well. My Apple Watch picks up patterns I know aren’t NSR or PAF. I’ve had a 5 day ECG via my cardiologist which shows a broad complex tachycardia. But often my pulse is under 50. But sometimes it gets closer to 43 and makes me feel horrible. I’ve luckily got an appointment with an electrophysiologist in 3 weeks to try and find out what’s going on. Sounds like you need specialist review. Good luck.
