Hi all, I was put on sotalol about 2 months ago, I started noticing my feet swelling a little bit about 4 weeks ago, the last week they have swollen up a lot more it’s saying on the medicine notes that swelling is a common side affect. Was just wondering how many others have this side affect. I do have a doctors appointment tomorrow about this. Thank you

Hi Spag.

I am also on Sotalol. 80mg 3 times a day. Personally I haven't had swelling but as you say it could be a side effect. Other things can cause it also so it's worth talking about to your doctor tomorrow.

Let us know how you get on. I'll follow the post.

It is also an affect your heart can have so I would suggest talking to your GP as soon as possible. Best wishes

I did NOThave swollen feet as a side effect of sotalol, but I had a very bad eperience with this medication, it mimics the actual condition as far as I am concerned, I had SVT in a bad way. Since my ablation, no more trouble, and no more medication except Eliquis

I'm on Sotalol 40mg three times a day and have been for a few years. No noticeable side effects. All the other ones I was prescribed affected me badly so I was surprised that Sotalol didn't. Hope you get the problem sorted soon.🙂
