Blood pressure monitor with large cuff 42cm plus
It was quite a few years ago that I bought my BP machine in Boots the Chemist, but when I did they made sure I had the right size cuff. I don't think there was one in the box with the machine, they went out the back and got one. I wouldn't have even thought about it, they must have just looked at me and thought standard size. Perhaps see if they still do this.

I’d ask in the pharmacy and see if they can supply you with one the right size.
We got one online from a medical supplier and ordered an extra large cuff to go with it. Total cost was over £100 a couple of years ago.
I think that Omron do one. You should be able to order one through a large pharmacy like Boots who sell their monitors.
Hi Padayn01, Just adding another voice to the replies you've had already, to say that you can buy larger cuffs separately. I keep a second, bigger one for my husband with the same build as yourself and I bought it online. If the machine's just for you, then many machines can be bought with the bigger cuff.
By chance a friend came round yesterday with his wife, and we were discussing blood pressure (as you do!!), well... he mentioned exactly what you have - that he has a large bicep! They tried my Omron wrist sphygmomanometer and were pleasantly surprised how well it worked. I've also been able to try one by Braun, and that was excellent, also. Both link to an app on a smart phone and keep a track of measurements.
I do happen to have an upper arm version, too, and find the wrist ones the equal in accuracy.
Steve
Cheers for this but I’ve heard that the wrist ones are not accurate can you confirm?
I think that once was the case but it's not my experience. I know that upper arm measurements are officially still preferred but wrist measurements with the newer devices match my Omron upper arm most of the time, measuring a little bit high on occasions, but not of any consequence.
Thanks to Amazon's reviewing policy, I've been able to try a few from Omron, Braun and the like and all have been accurate. The Braun one was less easy to fit on my wrist for some reason, but my friend uses it and likes it. With all of them, there is a need to be sitting comfortably at a table, with the elbow nicely rested, and to use take the BP 2-3 times, but that applies to upper arm devices, too, really. The arm has to be raised so that the device is at heart height, but they all have an indicator for this and won't start measuring until things are right.
I think it's probably better to have an upper arm one available (the £20 Boots one proved the most accurate in Which Magazine tests, I read), but the convenience of wrist measurement for general use seems to be easily accurate enough.

Have you got a link for the boots one?
It's this one: boots.com/health-pharmacy/m...
Despite the price it came out best in the Which magazine test. I bought an Omron RS1 for a friend recently from Amazon as a "Warehouse return" and it's spot on. There's one there now, I see, for £20.91.

Good quality machines, good after sale service help.
