No probably slight irritation of nerves.
I had "hiccups" during the ablation when they tested the phrenic nerve (they called it pacing) so perhaps that's feeling a bit fed up with being disturbed.
I can promise you that this has never, ever failed when I’ve done it face to face, but if you can hiccup once more after the next one, the £20 note is yours……😉

Don’t be, whenever I am with someone who has hiccups, no matter how severe, that’s what I say to them but I would rattle the £20 note in front of them at the same time. In almost 40 yrs, I have never lost the money, I even tried with someone who was having a sneezing fit once and it worked! With you, it was just a bit of fun but I hope the hiccups have stopped…..👍

I read recently that hiccups can be a sign of problems with a pacemaker, maybe a weakening battery. anybody know anything about that?
