5 days after heart ablation

My husband had heart ablation 5 days ago… blood pressure ok, heart rate up (around 95-100), he has a cough, heart rating goes fast and regular to slower and irregular. He’s feeling anxious? Any advice?

It's bound to be an anxious time but from my experience the heart rate going up and down is to be expected. Higher HR is very common after ablation and can last for months. If he's getting runs of AF or ectopics (the odd missed beat) but the HR is lower again, monitor but try not to fret. I had my ablation just over 4 months ago and quite a rough ride for 3 weeks but it quietened down. Have you got the leaflet written by our forum on preparation for and recovery from ablation? It's really helpful.

Yes, the cough seems to be a gift from the Ablation. I had it for months after my first Ablation. It is early yet and after the ablation it can go up and down for what appears to be no reason. Mine went up to 120 while watching TV and then back down to its normal 48.
