My clavicle is out of position following an acromioclavicular (between the clavicle and the scapular) ligament strain at Easter.

I am still getting a little discomfort - but I can now do all the exercises I did before - including knee-raises and chin-ups.

Is your wrist broken or was it just misaligned?

If so, which bone was broken?

CDreamer, reading this is bringing back memories of lying on a trolley in Spain last year with little nooses round my fingers which two doctors were pulling on with their full weight to 'reduce' my wrist fracture, ie get the broken bones back in place, realignment sounds like the same thing. I had lots of injections but I had to avert my eyes from my hand as my fingers had turned dark blue. Did you fall and put out your hand to save yourself? My thoughts are with you, a broken wrist was far more painful than I could have ever imagined. You will need help with lots of things. Did your heart behave? Please let us know how you are. xx

Thanks to all - I avoided the torture of the manipulation-saved by brilliant ER Consultant who fought my corner saying it was marginal whether I needed it so MIU did a pressure fix on wet plaster whilst I got high as a kite on gas&air! Thankful it wasn’t worse, not too painful. I have to go to fracture clinic next week though for ortho to check it’s healing in place. Broke head of radius & ulna as fell downhill & put out my hand to save myself. Sore all over & wiped out today but otherwise all good. Heart is a bit edgy but mostly behaving but I put that down to shock of fall.

Thanks again for all your good wishes 😘
