Diagnosed with AF over 2 years ago. I managed to stop it for 9 months with exercise, (Short Sprints),last year. Started back due to Anxiety due to severe Family Stress. What & Where is the Ablations & Electrical Mapping. Couple years ago it was ACQ that seemed to be the future. Thanks Hugo40

Sorry I'm not sure what your question is.

Sorry BobD, I welcome suggestions on Anxiety calming. I am again considering having Ablation. I say again as since Covid and AF seeming to return to mostly Permanent Sinus I had shelved my Mapping pre Ablation investigations. Which method is now considered best and where?

Sorry to hear that you are going through this hard time right now.

Anxiety totally fuels AF, so while you have that your heart is unlikely to go back into sinus rhythm. The only thing I think could help is short term medication to help you relax, or you could try some calming breathing exercises or meditation.

Hi jeanjeannie. Thanks for your sympathies. Too true Anxiety is a good fuel for AF. Finding it difficult to get any control over the Anxiety as the reason for it is still unresolved and is unlikely as it is my Sister, who was in hospital now in Care Home, she broke her Hip while waiting to be treated but severe Covid in hospital prevented operation. Now she has no hope of a good outcome. I don't think there is a short term Medication that's not an Antidepressant. I can't seem to get on with antidepressants. Unless you can suggest a suitable Medication. would be appreciated. Best Regards Hugo40

I have heard of people being prescribed Diazapam for short term stress. Not sure I've spelt that right.

Are you referring to AcQ 3D Mapping system used for an ablation?

Looks like it may be available at the Royal Papworth Hospital........

Would be interested to know if the AcQ system is being rolled out more widely and whether there is anymore data on its success rates ? If anybody knows? It sounded promising!
