Been having an AF episode since Thursday evening. Can anyone tell me what my Apple Watch is doing here.

If it was a Kardia I'd say that was interference. Definitely if you feel no worse than usual 💜

Just gone back into sinus. Thanks for replying 😱

Looks like interference

I find an overly dry fingertip or a loosely fitted strap can do this kind of thing. Also, certain situations have created utterly weird traces as my wife found out one evening (she has a normal heart rhythm). I think all ECGs can do this occasionally unless multi lead.

I’ve had inconclusive reports too, but only when in AF and/or tachycardia. I just thought the Apple Watch was having trouble getting a good reading since my heart was dancing around so irregularly. I’ve wondered too.

But mostly the watch picks up my AF quite well.

Take the watch off and clean the back with a soft clean cloth. Sometimes build up from dust and perspiration can affect the reading hence causing the interference. Once you do this your reading will be clear again.

You’ll find we have discussed this before!!
