New here....post ablation

I was dx about 4 years ago when I had a thoracic aneurysm repair, emergency, and have had severe lower back problems, and now a total of 4 ablations. Prior to this, I worked full time as an RN, and was considered totally healthy. I retired in Oct, 2018, and now I am sitting here... no a-fib ( KARDIA), no energy, no pain but ready to try and rehab myself with exercise if possible. I know I need to wait a few more weeks, but any Ideas? Thanks

I have had 4 ablations, 2 hip replacements and a spine operation in the last 6 years. Now things have calmed down I was looking for exercise that I could do and discovered chair yoga. It's perfect and will eventually lead onto other forms of exercise once some strength has returned to my legs. Maybe there is a class in your area? I also have an electric bike which I will try again this summer.

Hi Barb: thank you for replying to my post. Sounds like you have been through the “wringer” called aging! My problems have all been within the past 2 years. Until then, I was working full time and had planned to work until I was 70. Well that didn’t happen. I am surprised that I still feel as weak as I do. I think I thought I would be able to get up and go! I now remember how I felt when I had the 2 ablations a couple of years ago. Stay strong and in touch.....margeetx

I started my journey to try and get fit again with Otago. It's especially meant for people with mobility problems or recovering after hip/knee replacements and strokes etc etc. It is designed to improve balance and co-ordination whilst gently but thoroughly exercising every part of you. I have now added a chair yoga class to improve my core strength and flexibility and so far so good.
