I would say that being suddenly breathless at 3 am is unlikely to be due to your Apixaban. Suggest you get advicice from the NHS helpline 111.

It’s unlikely to be Apixaban I have been on it for a few years and had lots of AF attacks while on it, just had ablation so we will see if that will help. Check with your GP
