Yes, PPI’s are prescribed to assist with irritation to the oesophagus as they put instruments down there during the procedure such as the transoesophageal echocardiogram probe and a temperature probe. It’s common to get some inflammation there after an ablation. And the Xarelto is an anticoagulant to help with clot prevention.
