Prior to developing palpitations and Afib, I was experiencing chest pain and other symptoms similar to angina.

AF is not normally a cause of angina but angina can be an indicator of other cardiac issues which may contribute to AF. ANY chest pain should be investigated.

I am sure all these symptoms are very worrying. The only help I can give is that I have had very worrying chest pains in the last 9 years following my stroke ,but each time ,after being checked at the hospital it was indeed severe indigestion. However never put it down to that, the cardios have told me to always have it checked out.

Another thing I have only just found out after asking the doctors over and again. When your heart goes into Afib you want to pee more often , it's because your body is clearing out certain enzymes from the blood. I know I pee bucketsful when in Afib and I wonder at my body's efficiency. I'm glad about it now I know why.

The distressed heart releases an enzyme which tells the body to shed salt is why. Well known side effect on here.

Yes I can agree with you it's one of my pet hates of having AF wanting to pee all the time
