Myocardial Fibrosis

Well, my visit to the cardiologist didn't go as I expected. A cardiac MRI scan has picked up extensive mid-wall fibrosis, particularly at the basal-to-mid septum and lateral walls. There is also some right ventricle fibrosis as well.

My cardiologist has now taken me off Diltiazem and put me on 1.25mg Ramipril (to be taken at night) and 1.25mg Bisoprolol (to be taken in the morning).

My questions:

1. Does anyone have any experience of myocardial fibrosis? In particular in the mid-wall?

2. Does anyone know if this can improve?

3. Are any of you on these drugs, do you have any advice?

Many thanks in advance!

Really sorry but it would be quite wrong of any of us to comment as we are not medically trained. You really need to discuss this sort of thing with your doctor. Even if there were people her with experience as you suggest then as we are all different outcomes may be quite at variance.

Thanks for replying BobD . I take your point but I was looking for personal experiences (if there are any), both of the condition and the drugs, rather than medical advice.
