Yes, my husband had TOE + CV last Tuesday, far from being the 'walk in the park' that many on this site have described, he didn't find it so. He had an awful chesty cough, made worse whenever he drank anything. It's clearing up now but his voice has definitely changed...croaky and filled with gravel.

Last Tuesday I also was in the lab. I had a TOE and PVI under general anaesthetic. It is only now - just on a week later - that my heart seems to be waking up to the fact that it's not happy and AF has returned. I was warned that this would happen for the first 6 weeks or so. But about my voice. Afterwards I had a very sore throat - having had things pushed down and up - and there was no strength to my voice. Liquids and swallowing only made it worse. However it is now back to normal and I hope your husband will be too.

Hope he's feeling ok and good luck for the future.
