Hi Lulu - I used to take one tablet of Metoprolol when I had an attack of PAF, but found it too strong for me. It was taking my heart rate down to a dangerously low level. When I told my GP he said, ' I don't know why they make it so strong, most people only take a half'. I thought, 'Thanks for telling me that now after I'd been taking a whole one'. Do you have a blood pressure and heart rate monitor to check what's happening? l would never have known what was making me feel so odd without it. Also I swear they nearly killed me in hospital when they gave me a massive dose and I collapsed. Now if I have an attack of PAF I know to just take half, or even a quarter of a tablet. Have you told your GP how you are feeling? I think that would be a good idea.

As you know none of us on here are medical trained, so shouldn't give advice, but that was my experience taking Metoprolol.

After having a period of SVT that will leave you feeling tired for a few days. I would guess it's what your heart has been doing that is making you feel this way.

A good way to keep your blood pressure up is to drink lots of water.
