If you have bradycardia [33bpm] and AF [mild] what level and intensity of exercise would be optimal for your wellbeing?

With a heart rate that low I would have thought that a pacemaker would be a good idea frankly. If it is a result of the drugs you are taking then maybe change the drugs but if it is not due to drugs then please discuss with your cardiologist before doing anything. I suppose the answer to your question is what you are comfortable with but it creates more questions that it answers.

I was a bit of an athlete and prior to chance diagnosis my resting heart rate was around 45. I have no symptoms and only take warfarin.

very much agree with Bob's answer- I have pulse range, resting, of 45-50bpm and , since AF started recently, have found that walking too far can make me feel very unwell ( even though not in AF at the time) A general medical consultant ( not cardiologist) has mentioned possible pace-maker but we are waiting to see what Royal brompton advises. I wouldn't attempt exercise until you have had cardiologist's opinion.

Very gentle exercise, walking is good. Take care when raising your arms above your head. I f you go to an exercise class, the instructor should be aware of your condition, take care if working on any positions that places pressure on your heart. Look on the yoga journal website. click onto poses, click onto contraindications, look for high blood pressure, it will provide you with answers. It is excellent website for those who want to exercise safely. Look for contraindications. BWY clearly states head should. not be lower that the heart.
