Do you feel you receive adequate support to live with AF?
I do but I have been very lucky
I live on my own with no support from friends or family. Online support is all well and good, but not the same as sitting with you.
There are so many variables and variations in this condition that we all have to be our own best advocates and seek out good information.
Thank you for responding to this poll. It's encouraging to see that most of you feel you have adequate support to manage your AF.

I do now. When I was first diagnosed 12 years ago I had no idea what AF was and how it would affect me. All of the support and information has been in the last few years and only because I switched to an EP instead of my Cardiologist and have researched it myself.
I have both a cardiologist and an EP. Both are knowledgeable and answer all my questions and concerns. Next month i move to another state and I am a bit worried about finding the same quality of care.
Yes I am supported now, but for many years I was not, as my symptoms were put down to stress.
in the uk over a 10 year period i have always seen a cardiologist 2x a year for a chat. however i have never felt like this is anything other than that....a chat.
Having both permanent AF and having had 2 stents fitted, I have always the same thing to say......I am always tired out, do i have another blockage?, is it the af or arteries? No real investigation to try to find the root cause has ever happened. Unfortunately because the room of the appointment is on the ground floor, I am not seen in the state i am in if I walk up 2 flights of stairs
This is correct at present, but what will happen for the rest of my life should I need extra support I don't know. Not a happy prospect - but we all have to die of something!
I am self employed, I have a hard physical job. I am 61 and finding it harder to work, I have become breathless and fatigue easily. AF maybe once a week at the moment usually at night and ectopic beats most days. I have no choice but to work, I have no other income. I am waiting for the day that I will just drop.
