Here is an article by Prof. Emberton about Nanoknife from 2015.

Therefore he should should not advertise it as a new therapy which can help all PCa patients.

Guys,FDA just approved Nano Knife last year here in US. 2021.I called Angio Bionics in California (Berkley I think?), maker of Nano Knife, and they referred me to Dr Jonathon Coleman who is doing the first ever Human Trial of Nano Knife. This is Phase 1, not Phase 2 or 3. And, unfortunately for me (us) is only for Intermediate PCa.

There have been previous work (successfully) on Pancreatic and Liver Ca. Prostetechtomy with Nano Knife is in its infancy here in US. Germany has been at it for 10 years. See Vitus Institute in Germany.

Please DO NOT confuse with Cyber Knife which is Radiology.

Thanks for the link. I read the article with much interest.

NanoKnife, also known as IRE, is a treatment that Dr. Gary Onik uses along with focal cryoablation and immunotherapy. In fact, I believe Onik was involved in the development of the treatment.

Whatever the case, I was treated by Onik with IRE -- and immunotherapy -- in 2016 for localized Gleason 10 PCa. I believe the treatment(s) helped reduce, but not eliminate, the tumor load significantly.

Rather strange that the article gives the impression that NanoKnife is something new.

Think they are referring to FDA Approval in US in 2021 which is why they discuss as new.Dr Jonathon Coleman at MSK says: Robotic Prostetechtomy like a back hoe scoops out lots of tissue, Radiation like a fire extinguisher to carpet bomb the area, Nano knife like a squirt gun for sensitive and hard to get at areas. Said there is a place for all 3, sometimes on the same patient.

According to Dr. Onik's son (a physician in his practice), Dr. Onik's name is on the patent for for the Nano Knife. I believe it was invented in 2005 or 6 here in the US.
