what resonates in the song is the concept of a "hard-candy" Christmas...meaning...not the one "you dream of"...but like she says "I won't let sorrow bring me WAY down". I thought the "WAY" was so relevant. Sometimes you gotta be "down"...but you just have to be careful not to go "way" down....Best in the Holidays and Happy New year ! ! !

Thanks for the sage advice; it’s an important distinction! We’ll try not to descend into the abyss. Would you believe we forgot to take out the required minimum distribution, RMD, from Leswell’s IRAs? That’s age or Alzheimer’s for both of us. Now THAT’s an abyss. With your relative advantage of youth (I’m guessing) you could be the first speaker on Darryl and Joel’s new YouTube channel—or simply “get lost” on America’s sweetheart’s channel, meaning Dolly, of course. The nice thing about hard rock candy is that it last a long time. I am so much closer to my wife now than before cancer. I do not take anything for granted. We celebrate what we can still do, not the things that are now outside my ability.

funny... Even though I posted it, I can't get it to view on here. I have an Apple computer, that might be it? If you Google Dolly Parton and "hard candy Christmas" the video comes up on YouTube... Have a great Christmas and happy New Year!
