She is currently switching from Keppra to
Trileptal
as doctors think her Epilepsy symptoms are more Focal onset however, her last seizure was generalised tonic-clinic seizure so now we stopped reducing the keppra dosage until next EEG scan.

ADHD 9 year old son - angry, impulsive, explosive, blames everyone, at a loss...
My sons Psychiatrist (we’ve been with him since his diagnosis), put him on a mood stabilizer -
Trileptal
. We stuck it out for almost 4 weeks. It was awful. I’ve never seen my son so tired, agitated, and angry as all get out. So we stopped that.

Extreme fatigue. Could it be the trileptal? Low sodium?
Either the
trileptal
is just kicking in after 3 weeks or im thinking low sodium levels. Anyone have experience with this? He has ADHD combined diagnosis. Thank you.

Low sodium levels?
Not sure if
Trileptal
prescription is playing a part- is known to cause low sodium. Meet with nephrologist on results tomorrow but seeing this score drop is frightening.

Mind takes over
I’m on lithium,
trileptal
, trazodone and atarax. I’ve only been on lithium for few weeks and haven’t noticed any changes. My mind takes over at times, it’s overwhelming. I have trouble focusing and functioning in everyday activities.

Especially with trileptal
Epson salts are good if you are on
trileptal
as it lowers your sodium levels sometimes dangerously low its supposed to be around 130 to 135 mine was 124 at one point my Dr told me to try taking a 20 minute bath with Epson salts to keep my sodium up.

Med increase
Also I do take
Trileptal
(oxcarbezipine) which is my mood stabilizer and I tend to sweat a lot at night when I sleep 😴. Am wondering if this is a norm with the Zoloft being increased. Thank you in advance, And I am feeling better with the medication increase.

My pity-patty party must end!
I am already on pain medication and Neurontin and trying to give
Trileptal
a try. Spasms were bad this summer. These symptoms are bad in the winter too! Thus cold and burning pain, prickly-pin pain in the face, legs, feet, arms ... is the worse I have experienced in so many consecutive days.

Talking about MS with my son
That’s why I am on Ampyra, I tried the
Trileptal
and now I am taking the Ocrevus. Well I am glad I had that talk with him. He is a strong young man he has helped me out a lot of times. In many ways. I think it is a good thing to let your children know what is going on with your disease.

RELIEF FOUND
You can also try cymbalta,
trileptal
, tegretol. I am not on any of these myself: for me, avoiding coffee and wine, using boric acid capsules, and no rough sex do the job.

New here-going to MS clinic this week
See new neuro and he adds in
trileptal
. Spine MRI and lumbar puncture both NEGATIVE to my GPs surprise. Neuro sets me up with rheumy at Vanderbilt as he says maybe it is something autoimmune in nature. Rheumy is like "why are you here?" Orders a few tests that all come back normal.
