High cortisol and thyroid
Can anyone tell me if there's a link between hypoglycemia/insulin/thyroid etc. I have had numbness and water retention in my legs for the last year. Dr said overmedicated on meds. Tah was 0.01 so lower than normal However t4 was (9-19) 13 T3 (3.8-6) 4.8 I've lowered my t4 dose and kept my t3 dose but

T3 in UK
I've just relocated to UK from Asia and will be trying to get T3 in the NHS as I've been on this for 13 years and am non functional without it. However, it seems that Thybon Henning does not work for me and I also need to supplement this with T3 from Sigma Pharm. Has anyone else experienced issues with

milk thistle - t3 - conflicting reports
hi there my liver enzymes 151 alt max is 35 so very very high - last November were 48. AST 58 (max is 35) I read that milk thistle can help liver - and help conversion but also lowers t3 ? I’m Taking NAC 1800mg and inflammation is negligible. ESR 6 and CRP 0.6 ! 👌 ferritin 121 B12 902 and

I have a profile in advanced prostate cancer. When I set it up I didn't realize there was more than one prostate cancer network/forum. People in the advanced prostate form suggested I join this one. It's been awhile, but here I am. I'm a 63 year old who had an RP in March 2021. So far my psa tests have

what thyroid or other tests will help in improving heart condition ?
I’ve been hypothyroid for almost 20 years. Only treated / offered levothyroxine. Last full year reduced from 125 to 100 mg then in December gp wanted to go from 125 to 150( don’t think he realised I was on 100. Rang and eventually nurse rang and agreed to 125. At same time having tests about long standing

Shared care agreement, should I worry?
Hi all, Having completed a T4 & T3 trial with great successes, my NHS endo is soon due to approach my local GP for a shared care agreement to enable me to collect my prescription from the surgery. The surgery is in my home town, and it will be infinitely easier if this happens. Since, at the minute

PSA 6.9 six years after prostatectomy but PET/CT negative?
Weird situation here. Had a prostatectomy at Hopkins in early 2018. Organ-confined but Gleason on pathology was 4+5. For a little over two years PSA remained undetectable...and then, well, I kind of slacked off the test. Stupid and reckless on my part. After a roughly 3-year interval I recently

Radiation
I had the standard IMRT for my pca back in 2013. I was told it was a lifetime dose. Is that true with the newer forms of radiation treatment? I am faced with starting a six dose regimen of taxotere now since ADT does not seem to be working according to PSMA scans. My psa remains at 1.8 even though the

If it doesn't make you feel bad, is it working?
Background: My husband recently received his fourth docetaxel treatment. He has mets to bones and lymph nodes and has had two SBRT sessions to bone and prostate which significantly reduced both pain and node size. He has "failed" both apalutamide and abiraterone and is officially castrate resistant.

feeling blessed
Happy to share that no detectable psa score at 2 years post prostatectomy. I feel blessed since I delayed radiation which was suggested by Urologist. Going from 3 month checks to 6 month checks. Hopefully they got it all Excellent site for info signing off I hope for good. 🙏🤞

Another thought to add
It has been suggested that I am still under medicated on T3. Should I raise that first before taking Adrenal Cortex? Sorry forgot to mention that in previous post. Brain fog. Susieibbo301

Depressed Cortisol and adrenal cortex
Last post that you kindly answered was very helpful. Adaptogens and DHEA both tended to lower cortisol. Adrenal Cortex has been given the thumbs up by my thyroid doctor. Can anyone tell me which brand you take (PM) Or any other ideas. HC not thought a good idea. It has been suggested that I am
