Starting clinical trial of AVR-766
Today I start a clinical trial for ARV-766, an AR degrader. I'm coming in at phase 2, and they are only accepting men who have one of 4 point mutations in the AR - I have two. I've been randomized to 300 mg pill, once a day. The other dose is 100mg. I've failed ADT, chemo. Keytruda & Pluvicto. Hoping

CLL survival times ARE improving, thanks to BTK and BCL-2 inhibitors
Many of us were shocked after our CLL/SLL diagnosis when we googled for survival times. Bisoprolol - dramatic change in hr.
hello. HR has been 120- 130 for a while now taking either 5mg or 7.5mg bisoprolol. The increase in dose to 7.5 mg maybe made an average 5bpm difference. At this point I was in Atrial flutter most of the time. Trying to bring my hr down , it was suggested to me that I increase to 10 mg and then possibly

Anecdotal, but running could boost immunity
I am reading a lovely book of essays called These Precious Days by Ann Patchett. In the title essay a friend of the author is taking part in a clinical trial, having chemotherapy for pancreatic cancer. As you will know, Chemo destroys white blood cells which provide immunity, so you have to have a high

I was recently diagnosed with afib and am taking Eliquis and propofenone. I am scheduled for a hip replacement in two weeks and am wondering if having afib makes the surgery more dangerous. Thanks for any advice or info.
