Anyone had Greater Occipital Nerve Block for Migraine??
I'm due to try this in June as having a terrible time with my migraines and having to come off my Topiramate and
Amitriptyline
as I am TTC. Has anyone has a GON? Has it been effective? How painful was it? Any info and advice would be amazing thanks. Amanda x

First Ever Post - Just need to rant right now!
I was even given
amitriptyline
as a sedative but that did not touch me. I couldn't go into work as I work in a call centre and wasn't allowed on the phones while 'off it' on the Tramadol.

Gabapentin for ibs!?!?!?!?!?!
I am extremely cautious about taking this drug as I cannot find any proof of supporting ibs on the Internet unlike
amitriptyline
which is widely used and successfully I might add.

He told me the name of this ailment but I cannot remember the name of it but had told me to stop taking
Amitriptyline
prescribed to me. And he told me he will replace them with Pregabalin which should help with the pain. Does anybody know about this condition as I would like to know more

Painful muscle spasms
Hi everyone, I have now been diagnosed with Fibromyalgia and I am taken get 30/40 mg of
Amitriptyline
and Tramadol for pain relief however the Tramadol doesn't really work too well. Some days are good, some days are awful but I'm trying my best to deal with it all.

I have been prescribed with Ametriptyline 10mg for occipital neuralgia. I would like to find out if anyone has taken this medicine and if you experienced any side effects? Thank you.

Having some success...
Hi everyone Just wanted to mention that I have recently tried
Amitriptyline
as part of my medication and it has eased the pain quite a bit. I actually sat on the floor and played with my daughter without having to grab some furniture to get up again.

Help!!
Ive bought a tens machine and pain killers seem to give me stomach pain :( Ive changed my diet and am on
amitriptyline
. This has been going on for 10 months now. Every day is just a massive struggle! Do I just accept my life is going to be like this? Or could I have something else causing my pain.

Understanding INR?
Anyway I see many of you talk about your INR level being important to how you feel, especially in terms of brain function (mine at the moment seems to barely function at all) My INR in Feb was 1.0 and I have today been put on low dose aspirin to complement the
amitriptyline
and hydroxychloriquine.

Treatment
My gp told me she didn't know enough about it so I mentioned
amitriptyline
which I had been on before about 5 years ago. All it done then was make me sleep for over 17 hours and I was still drowsy after that but I thought maybe with age I would be able to use them now but I was wrong!

Research Study Help
Amitriptyline
may help IBS not because of its effect on mood, but because it can relieve pain and alter bowel activity. The aim of the research is to find out what happens when
Amitriptyline
is prescribed for IBS by GPs.

my gp is back
have tendonitis in my right knee, and needs physio to make home visit which of course may take a while so she showed me a couple of excersises to get me started. increasing
amitriptyline
for pain/depression. Reinforces my appreciation for a gp who cares and understands my problems.

Post Cystoscopy Excruciating pain and swelling.
I've taken an
amitriptyline
, paracetamol earlier today, a Solifenacin, 2 codeine and have permenantly had a hot water bottle as well as having had 3 baths. Nothing has taken even 1% of the pain away and since I've had terrible abdomen pain which is so sore.

Valerian Root?
Hi, I'm having a bit of a hard time with
amitriptyline
withdrawals which is mainly affecting my sleep or lack off so I'm exhausted. Google suggests valerian root is a helpful supplement for this so wondered if anyone has tried it? I'm taking 1 1/2 grains of NDT.
