Amitriptyline experiences?
Hi all, I just found this forum and it has been an absolute godsend. I started getting migraines in my teens, but only ~2/month, always in the first few days of my period (menstrual migraine). Over the years, the migraines have been increasing in frequency. 15 years later (I'm 30), I am getting >2

Do I have Hashimoto's or CFS?
That's the question I am pondering over at the moment. Hope that some of you may be able to offer some wisdom – to help out, this is the story so far (this is long – very sorry!): On 19 February 2015 I started to feel like I was coming down with a viral infection. There were things going round the office

Insomnia is my new best friend.
Hi I have not slept properly in 3 days. I do take Amitriptyline but it does not seem to be working. When I do try to nap I can't seem to get in a deep sleep. Before this I had no problem sleeping In fact I sleep quite alot. Is this part of fibromyalgia???

Foods??
Hi guys, I'm lying here feeling sorry for myself and thinking like I do at least once a day that my diet is pants and I need to do better. This got me thinking, has anybody read any research on foods and Lupus? I was wondering if there is a link between what we eat and how we react to said foods. I know

What time to take Pred. ?
I am only just noticing that a few people on here have adjusted when they take their Pred. - instead of taking it in the morning, they take it in the evening. I have always assumed that that would make sleeping even harder than it is now for me ( I have to take Amitriptyline to help) but, apparently,

Amitriptyline
Hi all just been prescribed Amitriptyline 10mg for nasty migraine headaches most of what I find on the internet appears to regard this as a pain relief but also not suitable for someone having had a recent heart attack. My heart attack was 12 months ago...what is considered recent?

Hi all, I joined this site last night after being recommended by a member I met at a Lupus Coffee Morning at Basildon Hospital. I've a feeling it's going to be the best thing I've done in a while. I've only resently been diagnosed with SLE after having one too many cortisone injections and then asking

Amitriptyline and weight gain.
I've seen many people mention amitriptyline. Does anyone find that they have put on a lot more weight since starting to use? The reason I ask: I haven't been prescribed this yet. But know a young lady who took amitriptyline as a muscle relaxant (for neck/stress/sever migraine problems), and she put

New blood results
I now have my new blood results, just wondering if, in your opinions, I'm heading in the right direction? TSH 2.13 (0.35 - 4.5), FT3 4.2 (3.5-6.5), FT4 15 (11-23). They checked B12 368 (161-531) & Folate 9.2 (2.9-16.9) so I'm relieved that they are good results. My VitD and Ferretin were not tested but

Hello
Hello, I'm Emma. I have just found this social networking site and hope to find people in the same situation, or similar, to myself. I am waiting on one more MRI scan on my back to determine the exact cause of my debilitating pain. My consultant has basically said that because of my age (28) he doesn't
