Can't sleep without alcohol. Any suggestions? Need help
I'm going through a tough time. Recently lost my new job after just 3 months. Wasn't what I had hoped. Been struggling with mostly anxiety for the past several years. Some depression. Also I think I will have to break up with my girlfriend, to take a job in another state (she won't move, has stated she

ECT
Had my twelfth ECT yday. Doc said sometimes the effects come on over time .... 🤔 and she wants me to come weekly. I dunno that I feel any different, if anything I fell into deep depressions after treatments. Also the ketamine has made my head feel funny, even today.

Antidepressants?
Hi there, I'm a new member who just joined a week ago and have been reading through the posts which are quite informing. Ive been diagnosed with fibromyalgia and to say it's robbed me of my life is a bit of an understatement :( I'm a 37 year old with 2 teens but I'm unable to do the school run anymore

Hi and thanks for reading my post. I'm a 33 year old male who's suffered from migraines since my teens. From my teens to when I was 24 i had the odd migraine always accompanied by A visual aura, however due to the low frequency i wasn't too bothered by them. Then since I was 24 ( the last 9 years) I've

Migraine for 3 weeks and counting
I’m having an absolute nightmare at the moment. I had a migraine on the 17th December and it hasn’t gone since. Some days it reduces itself into a general headache and other days it’s developed into a hemiplegic migraine. I’ve given up alcohol in case that is a trigger and I don’t drink caffeine or eat

Do I Have IBS?
I have the symptoms of IBS, but I've never been diagnosed. I have been diagnosed with major depressive disorder, and I've been reading about amitriptyline as a medicine that will treat both. I'm looking for something that will treat IBS and MDD, as the meds I take for MDD just keep me barely going.

Infection or not..? circumcision
Hi i was suffering from phimosis. So I went for circumcision. But I am little bit worried about infection and my current situation. So can anyone please help. Last treatment?
On my way to what I hope will be my last treatment with ketamine and ECT. Spoke with my psychologist yday and his advice was to make clear that I have been feeling suicidal since starting ECT. I’ll update y’all later.

When tapering Pred which other meds should taper?
My mum (recovering from GCA) is currently tapering from a 60mg dose of Pred - 10mg reduction every 2 weeks, it will be down to 30mg on Sunday but nobody has advised us to reduce any of the other 10 different types of medication that she is on, including a high dose of Omeprazole - 40mg per day. Should I go on?
Hi. I just finished a second week of ECT treatments & am truly wondering whether it’s worth continuing. The doc said it can feel worse before it feels better — esp bc he added ketamine to the mix — but I don’t know how much more I can take. I cry all day every day when I get home. My husband wants me

Hi, I have been prescribed Gabapentin for extremely painful sciatica but they make me feel dizzy and unstable. I am 10 years post stroke so take other meds too. Just wondering if anyone else has found relief for sciatica with either Gabapentin or Amitriptyline which I take 10mg for back pain. Many thanks

First lap - what if they don’t find anything?
Hi everyone, I’m 21 and have been dealing with unbearable periods and ovary pain for the past 7 years. I’ve been seeing a gynaecologist the whole time and been admitted once for a laparoscopy already, but the whole afternoon of surgeries were cancelled. This past year has been one of the most hellish

Support with Acid reflux
Hello. Hope everyone had a nice Xmas?! Has anyone experienced serious functional heartburn and undertook acupuncture with success? I still don’t under stand my diagnosis. Doctors say it’s not acid reflux (though my records state I have history of it) and that the cause is stress related?! I’m taking

Hi everyone, I haven't posted on here in a while but this has been a long term condition I have been suffering with for a few years at this point. It has put a strain on my relationship - which has (thankfully) lasted throughout this whole ordeal; but I need to get this sorted and would like someone's

Sleep struggle because of Effexor
Hi I’m new here and I’m sure this question has been asked. But my doctor mentioned trazadone or amitriptyline to help me sleep. I wanted to reach out and see if anyone had anything to add about either of those drugs. Thank you.
