Gleason score 8 and lots of questions...
Hi all! First time posting here but I have been lurking the last month or so and thanks so much to all of you who take the time to contribute. It has helped me ramp up the learning curve so quickly and the comradery and support here are powerful. My story: 63 year old reasonably healthy male. PSA

Has anyone tried Talzenna ? My dad was just started and after 2 weeks his PSA spiked 47 points to 105. He’s been battling hard, Lynparza worked like a miracle for 7 months then had to decrease dose d/t low hemoglobin and low RBC, had to have transfusions twice. Then Lynparza stopped working after

Hi everyone, I hope that you are doing okay. I was wondering if anyone is also suffering with pelvic floor dysfunction as well as evil endo? I have stage 3/4 my consultant wanted me to try prostap prior to hysterectomy (I am petrified) and have not started it yet. I guess I’m wondering if anyone

Rising PSA
Hi, have updated my profile to reflect recent changes. A gradual increase in PSA (1.2) with the prospect of changes to treatment if it continues at the current rate and gets near to 4. The oncologist is suggesting probably chemo but I would like to know more about other options before that discussion

Marching on to 5th transfer!
As I post and reply quite a lot on here I just thought I’d share where I’m at. After 4th failed transfer - 3 BFN and 1 chemical, I now have a date for transfer 5. Not sure exactly what protocol I’m on cause I’m rubbish at asking questions and just eagerly do whatever the clinic says 😂🙈 Just curious

Information overload and now decision time!
Okay, so I am at that stage of making a decision. Mind you I am about to embark on a 10 week overseas 45th anniversary trip. Dr says that should be fine. So whatever decision i come up with now could change by late November. So then a month ago, I had 42 biopsy samples taken and 8 of them were found

Orgovyx stopped woking.
Started orgovyx 2 months ago. PSA went from 35 to 5 in first month. Second month, PSA went from 5 to 8. This month PSA is 18. Looks like cancer is castrate resistant. Anyone else had this problem. If so what did your doc switch you to and how is it working for you? I talked to my doc today, he said he

Diagnostic Imaging Not Yet Enough for Biopsy-Free Radical Prostatectomy - MedPage Today, November 27, 2023
Biopsy-free PCa diagnostics would be welcomed by anyone who has had one or more needle biopsies. This article in MedPage Today summarizes the current status for the several methodologies being studied as alternatives. Good info for those currently on AS or just watching a rising PSA. From the lead-in

Infections during Chemo
After my LRP (2010) I had UTI's continually for ~2 years. I have no idea what finally shook them off -- a change from a tropical to a temperate climate, maybe? I am not coming to the end of the oral treatments available to me. At some time in the not too distant future I will be moving to docetaxel

12-year post surgery PSA
Hi All, Hard to believe that it’s been 12 years since my prostatectomy. So many health issues since then that PCa has moved down my list of worries. My PSA for the prior 2 years was .008. This year’s result just back and it’s ticked up to .009. I don’t think it’s anything to worry about, but of

Switching from Abi to Enza?
Hi everyone, my father has been taking Abiraterone since 2.5 years now (along with prednisolone 5mg). It has nicely brought down his PSA from 500 to less than 1 and kept it steadily less than 1 since the past one year. He, of course, takes Lupron alongside. However, Abiraterone has resulted in some side

Update on 8/4 post from alperk
To review, after 19 months on Lupron, Zytiga, prednisone, PSA increased on 1/23 to 0.253, then 0.309 on 2/21. Question for anyone taking Nubequa. How long did it take to get PSA nondectable… or did it ever reach that low point? My husband began with it & Lupron in January. PSA was 14 and 6 months later only down to 4.3 He does not have a prostate … Journey began in 2017. All clear at time of surgery. Biochemical
