Within under 2 years I've had a broken back, broken sternum, and 3 weeks ago a double
mastectomy
, and now arthritis of Lower spine, I can't stop and am making everything worse, fibromyalgia, originally diagnosed . So lonely and in pain.

Introduction
In 2004 I was diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer, I had a
mastectomy
& started a 6 month course of chemotherapy. Three months into chemo I developed septicemia & spent 12 days in ICU followed by 3 months on the cancer ward receiving intensive physiotherapy.

Help please!
I have had three consecutive major surgeries in 2023 : March spinal, then
mastectomy
in June and hemicolectomy in September. Directly afterwards in October I had the COVID booster.

My current struggle, anxiety
I’m also a 13 year breast cancer survivor and after
mastectomy
in 2010 I made the mistake of getting reconstruction with a breast implant.

My step-daughter had a double
Mastectomy
for stage 2 E +BC two days ago. Her boyfriend was there with her (far, far away from us) and kept us informed every step of the way. She called herself a little while ago, is home, tired but doing well.

Hello
I was first diagnosed with stage 3 breast cancer in 2001 I had a
mastectomy
with reconstructive surgery followed by chemo and radiation. Following that I was put on Tamoxifen Arimidex and Taxol. After being off for 5 years last year in 2022 I was diagnosed in the other breast with cancer.

I had a bilateral
mastectomy
with an axillary lymph node dissection. I did chemo after surgery and have been on exemestane since. I did not have radiation. A recent pet scan showed an enlarged axillary lymph node that a biopsy showed as cancer. (apparently the surgeon missed one!)

Recent diagnosis questions & concerns, please respond to any that you can
Concern 6: I hear of patients with a family history of breast cancer having
mastectomy
without a cancer diagnosis… should I, with a prostate cancer diagnosis, pursue state-of-the-art nerve-sparing robotic radical prostatectomy?

New primary plus first progression
I had a
mastectomy
and axillary clearance left side and then palbociclib, letrezole, monthly goserelin and denusamab. I have just found out I have my first progression spine and possible lesion on my liver but more concerning a new primary lobular carcinoma in my right breast and armpit lymph.

niece has DCIS, 3 lumpectomies and now needs mastectomy
We are dumbfounded that despite their assurances each time that it could be excised cleanly she now needs radical
mastectomy
. We are also wanting help with deciding if she should ask for double
mastectomy
. Any help would be most welcome 🙏

Thank you for all the support and bye for now
I even asked to be added to the list for breast scanning as I needed to know I wouldn’t be facing double
mastectomy
too.

Struggling to have a physical body
I've been diagnosed as BRCA1 positiveIn Nov. 2022 I had a bilateral
mastectomy
On Aug 17 I had my ovaries and fallopian tubes removed. These were both surgeries to prevent me from hopefully developing cancer in the future.

Sore leg muscles
Hi....I had a double
mastectomy
in Jan 2023 and finished my 4th and final chemo treatment one month ago. Since my 3rd treatment I have experienced extremely sore leg muscles 24/7 with no improvement. Has anyone else had this side effect?

Rads to spine scheduled
Our youngest daughter (really husband's daughter, grown up when we married and very close to both of us) had a double
mastectomy
for early BC today. She's moved to a different (much warmer!) part of the country.

And lastly due to my bc treatment
mastectomy
, radiotherapy & reconstruction I have had leftside pain from the ribs/muscles being disturbed - probably from all the scar tissue etc from my previous bc treatment.
