Have the symptoms, shame the doctor didnt want to know.
So all of my teen life I have suffered with heavy, painful periods. I was always told this was normal and has no reason to think otherwise. As a teen I didn't live with my mum so I would go to the doctors and complain and was fobbed off each time so I just plodded along. I fell pregnant at the age of

Oh dear the mammogram showed a lump in the right breast - not the one inflamed - And so it was
mastectomy
, chemotherapy and radiotherapy after a very large orange-sized lump was removed. Then on to the aromatise-inhibitors, firstly Letrozole.

Bone Scan advice
I have been on Letrozole since my
Mastectomy
in June 2019. I had a bone scan then which is standard when starting something like Letrozole as it increases osteoporosis risk. I was fine then so I'm not due for another one for 2 years when hopefully I will stop Letrozole .

5 years and still here!
They are good at emphasising the ‘call if you’re worried about something’ As I’m BRCA1 the issue of elective double
mastectomy
has again been raised. Time to find out more details but looks like it may be the most sensible option for me if I dare to think long term!

Post microTESE wait
Hi everyone, I’m about to join you all on this rollercoaster (or perhaps I already have) - my husband and I are pursuing fertility treatment where we live in France and are at the point where he has had a microTESE for sperm extraction. We managed to get 6 straws which I am pleased with considering

Long term side effects of treatment
Hi everyone, My wife was treated for extrapulmonary small cell cancer, that presented in the breast, from Dec 2021 until Feb 2022 (4 cycles of Cisplatin/Etoposide with concurrent radiotherapy) - she had a good response to the treatment which led to surgery (
mastectomy
), which confirmed, via pathology

Finding Freedom, keeping Free, and seeking help as and when necessary, Being here for others and understanding their pain.
Rare tumour, followed by breast cancer (twice)
mastectomy
. I then spent 35 years hooked on prescription anti- depressants, anti- anxiety tablets, lost all those years living in a bubble.

Letrozole(Femara) /joint pain threads continued.....
Like the people that have a lumpectomy or
mastectomy
, then are given tamoxifen for 5 years, then they stop. This is mind blowing to me - since most of us were told MBC never goes away, you will take meds for the rest of your life etc etc. The whole thing is a very scary thought now.

So glad I found this site
Diagnosed with BC when I was 46, bi lat
mastectomy
, chemo and tamoxifen. Mets to spine this year after 25 years cancer free. On letrozole and finished radiation. Trying to decide if I really want to take verzenio now or wait a while. The side effects look awful..

Recent diagnosis
She did say however that if the margins are not clear I will have to go back for a
mastectomy
. I have tried to search for 'real' post-surgery images so I can start to process how I will look afterwards but unfortunately I've drawn a blank.

Early Stage or In Situ and MBC recurrence
I opened for a
Mastectomy
and reconstruction as my dr said recurrence rate is less than 2 % as opposed to lumpectomy with radiation and approximately 13% recurrence. Seemed like a no brainer to me at 59. They found clusters of cancer cells in one lymph node.
