Paying for Lupron and Abiterone
New Medicare recipient with metastasized prostate cancer needs to choose Part D prescription plan. Research so far shows cost of these meds is unaffordable even with the plans that are available. Anybody know of any government or other assistance with the costs ? Thanks in advance

actual castration instead of ADT
I’m 62 in good over shape and recently started
Lupron
and Zytiga. I am told I will be on these or some form of ADT for the rest of my life. Since the goal is to eliminate testosterone wouldn’t it make sense to remove the source of it?

Pro biotics
Orders are in , just waiting the date to get scheduled, then tentatively, based on those results, Bicalutamide next day after PET, then
Lupron
, (I believe a couple or so weeks after that, have to go get my RO notes) and 35 70 grey pelvic +LN treatments. Coming soon to a theater near me.

My 18 month follow up scans...........except for the jaw infection and subsequent redo of a failed root canal, which is painful, not bad.
Currently being treated with
Lupron
, coupled with Zytiga and prednisone as well as every 3-month Zometa, which has been ongoing for a year. PSA is increased from 0.05 obtained on 06/01/2020 to 0.09 on 08/24/2022. Restaging bone scan. COMPARISON: Bone scan 05/20/2021.

On
Lupron

Change seems inevitable
Since I live in FL, I often get local support from Moffitt, (flying to NYC area for a
Lupron
shot is very costly) so I sometimes deal with slightly differing opinions. As this spot has finally reached 1.0cm I asked Dr M about a PET/FDG scan. prior to an invasive biopsy.

CDC73 mutation?
Currently getting Docetaxal and
Lupron
, with Zytiga just added. Completed brain radiation. A Tempus test revealed a CDC73 mutation, normally associated with thyroid cancer (thyroid checks out fine).

PET results!
He is currently on Ibrance, letrozole,
lupron
, and xjeva. He just had his first pet scan after starting treatment and it shows that all of his previous lesions that lit up on the PET scan have resolved. (Primary breast tumor and bone lesions as well).

Vacation or Zytiga...Onco says Zytiga...
Did 28 days of Casodex then 3 months of
Lupron
received another injection last month. PSA now .02 and husband tried Zytiga in past month and went off due to High BP. Onco says no vacation because data does not favor it... but on here I have read otherwise... All input greatly appreciated.

Lupron regimen, what happens if you stop!
What are the consequences of discontinuing a
Lupron
regimen? Can the body ever restore its previous levels of testosterone?

Slow rising PSA. Wait and watch?
Hello everyone My father has been on ADT since two years (Zytiga and
Lupron
). His PSA fell from 500 at diagnosis to 0.41 last September. Since then it has slowly been creeping up. In 5 months it has risen to 0.74.

My Hair Grew Back!
On
Lupron
, and after 3 months, the hair on my head started to grow and fill in! Radiation Nurse says strange hair things happen now and then, like hair of a different color. He says it does not necessarily revert back. I am happy about the hair growth!

Entering a New Stage Moving to Provenge
For over four years, I had been on what I called my "holy trinity", Erleada,
Lupron
and Xgeva. All of a sudden, I started experiencing a lot of dizziness. My PCP thought it was dehydration; so I hydrated more. Still dizzy.

Short Term or Long(er) Term ADT With Salvage RT
Hi all, Need thoughts on whether my physician is on the right track recommending only 6 months of ADT (
Lupron
). I'm early 60s and very fit. Just completed salvage radiation to PB and PLN and 6-month
Lupron
shot. Radiation therapy began 6 months following RALP.

My dad has been on zometa and
Lupron
and his PSA has been undetectable. He got a new doctor and they want to take him off the zometa and put him on prolia. Why would they do it? I have read awful things about prolia! update: my dad is stage IV, mets everywhere.
